Healthcare Providers
Our American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS course is designed for people with job-related duties in emergency preparedness and response. This course covers 1 and 2 person CPR Adult, Child and Infant CPR, use of an AED on both a child and adult, choking for infants to adults, airway obstruction, bag valve mask and how to use a breathing barrier or pocket mask. This includes nurses, law enforcement and EMS personnel, EMT, fire fighters, athletic trainers, dentists, CNA, business and industry response teams, lifeguards, flight attendants, and others who must take action in emergency situations.
ATTENTION HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS and WNCC / TMCC / UNR EMS, NURSING and DENTAL STUDENTS:
You MUST take the American Heart Association course for Healthcare Providers course if you are a current student or are signing up for a class next semester.
Option 1: First Time or Renewal Class – (Normal classroom setting certification)

Certificate: 2 year American Heart (AHA) BLS certification card
Price: $45.00 (Students must have the AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers Manual with them at class. Books are available for purchase at class for $15.00. When signing up for this class, please notify us if you will need us to reserve a book for you in the COMMENTS box of your registration form)

Option 2: Healthcare Provider BLS online practical skill test – 30 minute skills practical
Must take online American Heart test first at www.onlinetrainingplace.com. Click on the Healthcare Providers tab, and then click on the BLS for H/C Renewal link. You will then pay $17.50. Upon completion of the course you will receive a certificate. Please print this out and bring to your scheduled bls practical skills test with us. (CALL 786-4277 to schedule skills assessment at your convenience!) On the day of your scheduled bls practical skill session, please bring certificate and $30. You will then take a 30 min. skills test (cpr, 2 person cpr, bvm, aed, choking). At the conclusion of the skills test, you receive a 2 year American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider card:

Price:$17.50 credit card online payment to AHA and $30.00 cash, cashiers check, or money order (our fee) due on the day of your training.
